You can take your knowledge to another level! There are a number of programs available to get certified or prepared if you are interested in leading or assisting in hiking or other outdoor adventures. This can lead to a summer job and help you develop personal and professional skills. Get hands-on work experience, education and learn new skills.
We all hate the sight of litter spoiling the look of where we hike! Hikers also have a saying: Take out what you bring in! If you see trash along the way, take the time to pick it up and properly dispose of it when you are done your hike. We are all in this together and must keep the environment clean and healthy
There are LOTS of nature photo contests every year! When you are on your hike, snap some pictures and submit them. You never know, you might win some money! More importantly, you are helping to promote the trails! You will show others how beautiful nature is and what they could see by going on a hike.
