Canoe-Kayak

Port Franks Waterway System

The Port Franks Waterway System offers canoe and kayak enthusiasts kilometers of paddling fun.

Explore the Ausable Cut, Ausable River, Old Ausable Channel, Mud Creek, 'L' Lake and Lake Huron. A 130m portage has been created along Huron Street in Port Franks for easy access to the Ausable Cut and Mud Creek.

Your adventure begins at the Ausable River Cut Conservation Area beside Hwy. 21 on the southwest side of the bridge (9984 Northville Crescent).  A dock is available for your launch.
